A graphic illustration of the stages of Insulin Resistance, where Glucose and Insulin are depicted as lines along the spectrum of Insulin Resistance, including low levels of Glucose and Insulin during stages of Normal Insulin sensitivity, elevated Insulin but normal Glucose during early stages of Insulin Resistance, elevated Glucose and Insulin at stages of Insulin Resistance and Diabetes, and eventually a decrease in Insulin but further increase in Glucose due to pancreatic Beta-cell dysfunction in advanced Diabetes
